The visual identity of the Pufici snack line is inspired by Aztec geometry and symbolism. Each flavor features a distinct ornamental side pattern and a stylized face—both a guardian and a storyteller of the taste inside. These abstract masks draw from traditional Aztec forms with bold lines and tribal symmetry. Flavor-specific colors—like green for buckwheat or red for corn—enhance recognition, while triangular motifs mirror the shape of the snack. The blend of flat colors, hand-drawn details, and cultural references creates a bold, unified, and meaningful shelf presence.

ABOUT PROJECT

Materials Used in Pucifi Packaging Design

The packaging is made using high-quality glossy laminated flexible plastic, chosen for its protective qualities and vibrant print fidelity. The rich black background enhances the contrast and vibrancy of the Aztec patterns and illustrations. A subtle tactile finish complements the visual richness with a smooth, modern feel.
A key feature of the packaging is the transparent triangle-shaped window, thoughtfully placed to mimic the shape of the snack itself. This window serves both a functional and symbolic purpose: it allows the consumer to see the product inside, while also reinforcing the central triangle motif that defines the entire design. It creates a visual and conceptual link between what’s printed and what’s real—between idea and experience.

Pufici transforms a simple snack into a cultural artifact—each flavor is a character with its own face, story, and emotion inspired by Aztec heritage.
• Corn & Rice is bright and confident, honoring corn’s central role in tradition.
• Grains features earthy tones and a steady gaze, symbolizing strength and balance.
• Buckwheat is cooler and introspective, suggesting depth and mystery.
More than just packaging, each design tells a story—together forming a flavorful, modern tribute to an ancient culture.
